Imagery in wedding magazines and on blogs has long been so narrowly focused on white people with white weddings or – ! – more common recently, boho in blush and bashful. There’s a whole wide world of people, culture, and love beyond that tired status quo, and we intend to illustrate and normalize the full spectrum. Classic style is great, if you’re a classic gal. We love boho, if you’re a flower child in spirit. But furthermore, we love nerds being nerdy, incorporating heirlooms and heritage, and artfully weaving your story into your unconventional wedding. We want to empower your creativity. Go crazy. This day isn’t about anyone who isn’t getting a new ring.
It shouldn’t be “weird” to see black brides, two grooms, kilts, modest brides, inked brides, and bohemians all in one place. So sometimes we do mean it quite literally!
That unexpected touches are so often conflated with a lack of sophistication is laughable. We celebrate your unapologetic, inspired celebrations. We encourage your creativity and personalization. If that makes it a “weird wedding”, so be it! When is there a better time to express yourself than when presenting yourself to your spouse to commit your life to one another?
