Like a swift punch to the gut, couples and an industry full of badass vendors both found the wind knocked out of them with the mounting chaos this week wrought. We wanted to take this opportunity to lift up some great wedding professionals who have taken it all in stride, all while maintaining responsible social distancing policies we applaud, keeping their communities their priority. Sometimes we have to connect in person; those cakes won’t taste themselves! But until normal resumes? Here are some great headstarts.
1. New Heritage Bespoke Bridal
While long-distance designing has always been an option with New Heritage, more brides than ever are embracing the idea of collaborating on their unique dress virtually. Infuse storytelling into your gown with an original print, couture embroidery, or beading.
Past brides have hidden sugar skulls within their lace and created floral print matching a family tartan. Bonus? A post-consult couture illustration for sharing with your inner circle in anticipation of the real thing.
We love this New Heritage bride in rose gold. Classic, but totally unique.
Tell them you heard about New Heritage on Keep Weddings Weird to be one of the first to receive their new Gratitude Luxe Box, full of surprises to brighten your day, as their thank you for supporting them in this critical time.
2. Choose Your Own Wedding E-Planning
Seattle-based Cindy Savage of Aisle Less Traveled brings her A-game to subscription-based platform full of bells and whistles to aid socially distanced and budget-conscious couples through to the Big Day. Follow through each module from the comfort of home. No Lysol required.
3. Elope In Texas
Elopements and mini-weddings have certainly become a hot trend, but never more so than in these days as postponements strike left and right. Elope in Texas offers simplicity for couples planing their perfect, (perhaps unexpectedly) smaller wedding. Browse venues, pricing and build out every detail you desire. Not in Texas? Pick the “Plan Your Adventure” option to create a custom kickstart.
4. TFO Salon Houston
This one might be cheating a little bit, but we’re going to encourage you to think outside of the box. The team of vixens beautifying brides and their entourage across metro Houston as The Fairest One have now expanded their makeup and hair empire, launching TFO Salon in the Bellaire area with a Grand Opening just last month. [*audible OOF*] These are some of the hard working and talented women, and we absolutely endorse their creative solutions to keep their salon thriving through it’s infancy. Their honesty about this challenging timing is admirable, and we’re rooting for them. Speaking of roots…

5. DGZ Chocolates
I shouldn’t even know about this company. You want to know why I do? I utterly lack willpower. I tried just a dinky, little sample of their toffee whilst passing by their booth at what was to be the last day of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Unbeknownst to all those vendors, the party would be cut quite short, leaving DGZ Chocolates with oodles of inventory. Your guests are going to need take-home toffee. Favors, is what I’m saying.
Join up on their site for 10% off right now…not to mention the limited quantity Rodeo deal bags.
6. Revelry & Heart
Kasey, of North Carolina badass wedding branding company Revelry & Heart brings you the finest style pinpointing tool EVER. I love Kasey’s ability to push couples to find their authentic style. This workbook is like a personality quiz and her brain, whirled together – probably scary, but totally worth the ride.
7. Renegade Bridal
Renegade offers multitudes for the alternative bride. From florals to sparkle, separates, and ANYTHING IN ANY COLOR (holla, black gown brides!), their collection is everything you never knew bridal could be. They’ll customize to most requests and custom pattern to your size and height – easy peasy and all virtual.
Oh. You already have your gown, you say. Too bad. BUT NO! It’s not too late! They are also the nation’s ONLY dye lab professionally dyeing bridal gowns – theirs as well as outside gowns. Most notably, they DO handle dyeing synthetics (and there’s a 90% chance your gown is a polyester fiber; read the care label).
8. The David Paige Band
David’s enthusiasm for songwriting is one of the best kept secrets in the biz. I love the idea of pairing a gifted custom song with your vows to leave nothing you feel left unsaid. Come on, that’s cool.
9. Wood Flowers
Curated Chaos Designs offers bouquets for tossing and keeping, crafted from wood, as seen in these anemones below. Heirloom piece…and postponement-proof to boot.
10. Sami Grace Fitness
HALT. PAUSE. OK. No. Normally, we would never, ever ever, ever elude to something resembling a gym amidst wedding planning conversation. And we sort of still aren’t. You should check out her Facebook group for great workout challenges and encouragement. Once you love her, yeah, she totally offers an online membership class.
Here’s the math. Samantha is just good people. This staying at home thing? It’s going to be rough – mentally. Set aside the physical portion. We wanted to pass along a GREAT trainer because if you’re isolated AND planning a [likely postponed] wedding, you’ve already got two huge stressors. We love you. Take care of you, ok?
